Duke Fisher IS Resolve + Restore!

dukeheadshot Duke Fisher has been a volunteer mediator since 1988.

The Unified Court System of New York State approached Duke in 1990 to become a New York State Certified Trainer of Mediation and assist with a special project bringing mediation and collaborative problem solving skills to “at risk” populations.

He is the past Director of two Community Mediation Centers and has brought the process of mediation to thousands of individuals, businesses, schools, colleges, Bar Associations, Law Practices and communities throughout the United States.

He is a straight talking, tireless advocate for respectful, collaborative conflict resolution and gets his point across through the use of wise cracks, good films, and experiential exercises known to encourage groups to have fun, take risks, and learn from each other.

Resolve + Restore has been working with The Resolution Center, Inc. and The Rural Law Center of New York, Inc. to provide Basic Mediation Training!

Sticky Note: Trainer with Flip Chart Both future Volunteer Mediators and paid professionals are learning, working, and discovering together in Canton, New York. This extraordinary group of people has been enduring winter weather and location changes to begin their Mediation Journey.

After training, many are looking forward to entering an Apprenticeship and becoming Certified Mediators with the Community Dispute Resolution Center System, as well as taking their new skills with them to work, home, church, and wherever conflict can be found.

This five-day training is being held entirely in-person, providing the maximum interactivity to participants. A mixture of lecture, written materials, large group discussion, small group exercises, experiential activities, role play, and media clips ensure that every learning style is targeted effectively. We're also having an AMAZING time!

Apprenticeship and Coaching with Duke

Duke Fisher has decades of knowledge and experience in the fileds of Dispute Resolution and Restorative Justice. In order to move the fields forward, Duke is available to select practitioners for Mentoring and Coaching services through an Apprenticeship.

In addition, Duke's contacts around the world offer additional opportunities for connection, collaboration, and coaching.
